DG, ICAR visits IIRMR-KVK, Bansur, Alwar-II

31 December 2024, Rajasthan: Dr Himansu Pathak, Director General (ICAR) & Secretary (DARE), visited Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bansur, along with Dr P. K. Rai, Director, ICAR-Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur, and Dr J.P. Mishra, Director, ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Zone-II, Jodhpur, today.

Dr Pathak visited various demonstration units and the Instructional Farm of KVK, providing valuable guidance. He emphasized that farmers should embrace modern agricultural practices for holistic development and progress, including high-tech horticultural production, mushroom cultivation, beekeeping, natural farming, organic farming, and pearl farming.

Dr Rai stated that this center has transformed the crop landscape through crop diversification, including the establishment of fruit orchards, low-tunnel vegetable cultivation, and mushroom farming.

Dr Mishra said that this KVK plays an important role in changing the farmer’s socio-economic growth and development.
