Delegation from SAARC Agriculture Centre, Dhaka called on Director General, ICAR
21 September 2022, New Delhi: A 4-member delegation from SAARC Agriculture Centre, Bangladesh led by Dr. Md. Baktear Hossain, Director, SAC called on Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) and other officials from ICAR today to discuss the ongoing collaborative activities between India and SAARC.
Both the sides appreciated the progress of various ongoing activities under the SAARC – India umbrella collaborative programs and stressed on the need to further deepen and strengthen the partnership in the light of new challenges in Agriculture particularly in South Asia.
Dr. Pathak emphasized on the strong partnership between India and SAARC Member States and reiterated its commitment to continue to work together in future.
Dr. Hossain complimented India’s leadership role in providing necessary support to the SAARC Member States in addressing the challenges of Agriculture research and development.
Shri Sanjay Garg, Additional Secretary (DARE) & Secretary (ICAR), Dr. A. K. Singh, Director, ICAR-IARI Pusa and other Senior Officials of ICAR also participated in the meeting.
