Biostimulant Sales Stopped in Jalgaon, Distributors Asked to Submit Stock Details

10 March 2025, Jalgaon: The Office of the District Superintendent Agriculture Officer, Jalgaon, has announced a halt on the sale and production of biostimulant products following the expiration of their provisional certification.

As per the Central Government’s Standing Order No. 5.0.882(E), dated 23rd February 2021, biostimulants were included under Schedule 6 of the Fertilizer Control Order, 1985. The provisional G-2 and G-3 certificates issued by the Commissionerate of Agriculture were valid until 22nd February 2025. With their expiration, biostimulant manufacturing and sales have been prohibited until further government instructions.

Distributors holding stock produced before the expiration date have been directed to submit inventory details. The Commissionerate of Agriculture will seek guidance from the Central Government regarding the sale of the remaining stock. Further updates will be provided once a decision is made.

Additionally, all distributors must submit stock-wise details of plant growth regulator (PGR) products to the District Superintendent Agriculture Office by 12th March 2025.
