Beneficiary Meet for Farmers organised

21 August 2024, New Delhi: ICAR-National Institute of Biotic Stress Management, organized a grand Beneficiary Farmers Meet today.

Mr. Ramvichar Netam, Minister of Agriculture, Govt. of Chhattisgarh, applauded the institute’s initiatives in boosting farmers’ incomes through integrated farming approaches.

Dr. Raman Singh, Speaker, Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly, emphasized the critical role of biotic stress management in ensuring the economic security of the agricultural sector. He admired the institute’s infrastructure and research facilities created in a short period.

Mr. Anuj Sharma, Member of the Legislative Assembly, urged the farming community to continue collaborating with ICAR-NIBSM for greater impact.

Dr. P.K. Ghosh, Director, ICAR-NIBSM, highlighted the importance of the event in fostering collaboration and innovation among the farming community. He also presented the institute’s progress and research and development initiatives to the gathering.

As part of the event, input distribution also occurred, ensuring the beneficiaries were well-supported in their agricultural endeavors.

About 300 participants, including agricultural experts, state government officials, SAU officers, and progressive farmers attended the programme.
