B. Patil, Minister for Commerce & Industries and Infrastructure, Government of Karnataka.
In a recent interaction at his residence office in Vijayapura, Mr. Patil met with two farmers from the Babaleshwar constituency who exemplify the growing prosperity in the region.
Mr. Kalappa Sabu Talawar, a farmer from Hokkundi village, cultivates bananas on a modest one-acre plot. Despite the small landholding, he has managed to generate an impressive annual income of ₹4.5 lakh. As a token of gratitude and goodwill, Mr. Talawar brought a bunch of bananas to the minister.
Similarly, Mr. Mudakappa Konadi from Ittangihaala village shared his success story. Cultivating grapes across four acres, he is set to earn ₹47 lakh this year. Mr. Konadi arrived bearing a large box of grapes, expressing joy over his thriving agricultural venture.
Minister Patil expressed heartfelt gratitude to the farmers for their thoughtful gifts and lauded their achievements. “Thanks to the effective implementation of lake rejuvenation and irrigation projects, thousands of farming families are now able to live with dignity and pride.
