Awareness On Best Management Practices In Livestock & Poultry Organised

13 November 2024, New Delhi: ICAR-Central Island Agricultural Research Institute, Port Blair, Regional Station, Minicoy, oragnised an awareness campaign on best management practices in livestock & poultry for the welfare of tribal livestock farmers of Lakshadweep today.

Dr Eaknath B. Chakurkar, Director, ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, graced the occasion.

Hands-on training on poultry feed preparation using locally available feed ingredients such as maize, rice, coconut, and residues of tuna masmin preparation and shell grits was also organised during the programme.

Vitamin-mineral mixtures were distributed to the farmers from different clusters of villages.

A total of 26 people attended the programme.
