ASRB Celebrates its 52nd Foundation Day 2024
08 November 2024, New Delhi: The Chief Guest, Dr Shekhar C. Mande, Former Director General, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, and Former Secretary, Dept of Scientific & Industrial Research, emphasized that an organization is built by its people, and unless the quality of its workforce is high, the organization cannot achieve what it wishes to aspire. A mere collection of individuals is not enough to make an organization succeed; all individuals must align with the organisations overall goals and objectives, he added. Dr. Mande further emphasized that agriculture has been a key driver of India’s progress since independence and will continue to be central in realizing the vision of ‘Amritkaal’ in the next 25 years.
The Guest of Honor, Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR), highlighted that human resources are fundamental to the development and effective functioning of any institution or organization. He further added that if ICAR is the body, then ASRB is its brain, and just as a body cannot function without a brain, neither can ICAR operate without ASRB. Dr Pathak urged for a transparent, efficient, effortless, and straightforward recruitment process to save both time and resources.
