Appeal to Union Minister to amend fertilizer trading rules: Agro Inputs Dealers Association

10 January 2023, New Delhi: National President of Agro Inputs Dealers Association, Mr. Manmohan Kalantri handed over a memorandum to Union Minister of State for Fertilizers, Mr. Bhagwant Khuwa, who was visiting Beed (Maharashtra), informing him about the problems being faced by traders in the fertilizer trade.

The Union Minister was told that for the last several years, the dealer margin on Phosphatic Fertilizers has not been increased by the fertilizer companies, amendment in the Fertilizer Control Order 1995, relaxation of Income Tax rules, monthly list of top 20 under POS machine should be stopped immediately. Urea should be made available in remote areas on FOR basis have been mentioned in the memorandum.

The Association has demanded from the Union Minister that whenever the Fertilizer Control Order 1995 is amended, the suggestions of the traders should be included so that the fertilizer business will be smooth and farmers will not face any problems in providing fertilizers.
