Animal Health Camp Organized Under NICRA-TDC Project To Empower Farmers
12 December 2024, New Delhi: An Animal Health Camp was organized today in Thadnongiaw village, Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya under the NICRA-TDC project by ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Ri-Bhoi.
The camp focused on improving livestock health through practical demonstrations on deworming, vaccination, and the benefits of vitamin and mineral supplementation. The experts emphasized the importance of bio-security measures, such as securing animal enclosures, controlling farm access, and maintaining personal hygiene to prevent disease transmission. The event aimed to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance livestock productivity and resilience, promoting sustainable farming practices to adapt to climate change and ensure long-term farm health and productivity.
A total of 40 local farmers participated in the programme.
