“6th Virtual Zonal Committee Meeting of ARYA Project (Rajasthan & Haryana)” organized
31 January 2022, New Delhi: The ICAR-Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan organized the “6th Virtual Zonal Committee Meeting of ARYA Project (Rajasthan & Haryana)” today.
Delivering his address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Randhir Singh, ADG (Agricultural Extension), ICAR highlighted the Project’s importance in the context of development. He also stressed on taking care of the “One District – One Product” while selecting the enterprise for Rural Youths in the Project.
Dr. S.K. Singh, Director, ICAR-ATARI, Jodhpur, Rajasthan emphasized on taking-up the livelihood security along with regular income flow by considering the major issues of the small land holding sizes of majority of farmers. The need for addressing the identification and orientation of Rural Youths with the major objectives of attracting and empowering them in the rural area, establishing network groups and demonstration of functional linkages was stressed by Dr. Singh.
Dr. O.P. Yadav, Director, ICAR-Central Arid Zone Research Institute, Jodhpur, Rajasthan; Dr. V.K. Pandey, Joint Director, Government of Rajasthan and 4 Directors of Extension Education are involved in reviewing the progress of 11 Krishi Vigyan Kendras (7 from Rajasthan and 3 from Haryana).
