₹65,695 Crore Paid to Farmers Under MSP for Paddy Procurement in KMS 2024-25

09 December 2024, New Delhi: The Government has fixed the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for Paddy (Common) at ₹2,300 per quintal and Paddy (Grade-A) at ₹2,320 per quintal for the Kharif Marketing Season (KMS) 2024-25. As of December 1, 2024, a total amount of ₹65,695 crore has been paid to farmers for paddy procurement under the MSP scheme.

This information was shared by the Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Ram Nath Thakur, in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha.
