Total export turnover of agro-forestry and fishery products in March 2023 reached 4.66 billion USD

01 April 2023, VN: According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the total export turnover of agro-forestry and fishery products in March 2023 was estimated at 4.66 billion USD (down 6.5% compared to March 2022), bringing the total export value of the first 3 months of this year reached 11.19 billion USD, down 14.4% over the same period in 2022.

In which, the export value of main agricultural products was estimated at 5.73 billion USD, up 3.8%; livestock export value was estimated at 114.9 million USD, up 46.5%; Seafood export value was estimated at 1.79 billion USD, down 29%; export value of main forest products was estimated at 3.11 billion USD, down 28.3%; export value of production inputs was estimated at 458 million USD, down 26.8%; salt export value was estimated at 0.9 million USD, down 31.3%.

It was estimated that the total export value of Vietnam’s agro-forestry and fishery products in the first three months of 2023 to Asian markets reached 5.46 billion USD, up 9%; America reached 2.27 billion USD, down 35.8%; Europe reached 1.44 billion USD, down 3%; Oceania reached USD 156 million, down 25%; Africa reached 138 million USD, down 50%. The share of Asia, America, Europe, Oceania and Africa in the total export value of Vietnam’s agro-forestry and fishery products in the first two months of 2023 was 48.8%, 20.3%, 12.8%, 1.4% and 1.2%, respectively.

In the first three months of 2023, China, the United States and Japan are the three biggest importers of Vietnam’s agro-forestry and fishery products. Export value to the Chinese market accounted for 21.5%, up 2.9% over the same period in 2022; The US accounted for 18.2% (-37.3%) and Japan accounted for 8.4% (+10.1%)
