Syngenta acquires Brazilian agri-inputs distributor Dipagro

12 July 2021, Brazil: Syngenta Crop Protection announced the signing of a contract for the acquisition of Dipagro, a company that distributes agricultural inputs in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. This move will ensure farmers have more access to Syngenta’s technologies and services in a region of significant agricultural growth.

“Dipagro has a solid history of success built over the past 14 years and is recognized for its excellent management and broad base of loyal customers,” says Juan Pablo Llobet, Regional Director of Syngenta Crop Protection in Latin America and Brazil.

“We are very proud and highly valued our relationship with our current distribution partners, who guarantee us a strong network in Brazil so that Syngenta’s portfolio of products and services could reach rural producers. Our commitment to our current partners continues, in support of the success of Brazilian farmers who face increasingly complex challenges in the field. We believe that Dipagro will be an excellent addition to our network,” Llobet adds.

The consummation of the transaction is subject to approval by the Administrative Council for Economic Defence (CADE), the Brazilian Competition Authority. The amounts involved in the negotiation will not be disclosed.
