Plenty of room for Vietnamese coffee exports to Spain

26 October 2022, VN: A survey in the Spanish market shows that up to 87% of the country’s population aged between 18 and 64 drink coffee and 70% do so daily. The average is 2.2 cups a day and the preferred place was at home (61%), followed by bars or restaurants (26%) and the workplace (21%). Furthermore, information from https://www.statista.com shows that Spain’s coffee segment is expected to grow by 6.84% between 2022 and 2025.

Therefore, the Vietnam Trade Office in Spain said that there is still a lot of room for development and a great opportunity for businesses to export coffee to this potential market.

In order to promote sustainable export of agricultural commodities in general and coffee in particular to the Spanish market, the Vietnam Trade Office in Spain believes that localities and industry associations need to propose and coordinate with the Trade Office. The service organizes live and online discussion events to introduce potential business cooperation opportunities for local businesses and industry associations of the two countries in the implementation of the Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA)

In addition, promoting the organization of business delegations with the composition of importers, distributors and large supermarkets of Vietnam to connect and exchange goods directly with local partners.

On the other hand, localities and associations provide the Trade Office with a list of businesses as well as a description of their respective strengths so that the Trade Office has a database to support regularly trade connection at trade-investment promotion events in the coming time.
