MARA and China Eximbank Renew Agreement to boost International Cooperation in Agriculture

06 August 2020, Beijing: MARA (Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Affair, China) and the Export-Import Bank of China (China Eximbank) have renewed a strategic partnership agreement recently to boost international cooperation in agriculture.

Under the renewed strategic partnership agreement, MARA and China Eximbank will conduct cooperation focusing on support for the import and export of agricultural produce, overseas investment by Chinese agricultural enterprises, development of modern agricultural system, growth of new-type agricultural businesses as well as relief for agricultural enterprises affected by the COVID-19.

The partnership has financing supported a number of Chinese agricultural enterprises. The renewed agreement is expected to harness the strengths of both sides. A two-way recommendation mechanism shall be established to facilitate financial service and boost agricultural and rural development.
