Lantmännen Maskin opens new machine plant – improves range and service opportunities for agriculture in Sörmland
10 May 2024, Sweden: Lantmännen Maskin opens new machine plant in Nyköping. The plant will be Lantmännen Maskin’s largest in Sweden and will bring several benefits to the local farmer.
“This is an investment that will make it easier for farmers in Sörmland. We will be able to offer a greater range of products and improved service options and hopefully be able to support the farmer before and during the most important harvest for a long time,” says Peter Annas, CEO of Lantmännen Maskin.
Lantmännen Maskin offers both sales and service of agricultural machinery and tools to farmers throughout Sweden.
“We have an ongoing dialogue with our members – active farmers – how we can best develop the business and make their everyday lives easier. The investment in a new machine plant in Nyköping is an example of improvements that we are now implementing,” says Peter Annas.
The opening of the new machine plant on 3 May began with a ceremony with Peter Annas, CEO of Lantmännen Maskin, Arvid Lindgren, farmer and district chairman of Lantmännen’s Sörmland district and site manager Mathias Jensen. In total, over 300 farmers from all over Sörmland attended the opening, a number that was higher than expected as the day offered brilliant sun and excellent weather to continue with the delayed spring sowing.
