Center for Food Safety Launches New Podcast Featuring Activist Heroes

25 September 2022, US: A new podcast produced by Center for Food Safety aims to reinvigorate hope and inspire activism. Launching Sept. 29, “The Hero’s Journey” will feature dynamic and inspiring conversations with famous and less-known activist heroes working to tackle problems like food safety, the climate crisis, and other environmental issues while advancing social change. Guests will include young climate activists and food safety luminaries such as Vandana Shiva, Anna Lappé, and Marion Nestle.

The Sept. 29 launch episode features young climate activists from the groundbreaking Juliana v. US case, asking—”What happens when 21 Gen Z leaders step up to demand the US government take action on climate?” Media and the public can register now for the live podcast launch at: http://cfs.center/julianavus.

“The Hero’s Journey” aims to inspire hope and energize change-making action. This unique podcast will center activists’ journeys toward fostering change, focusing on cultivating hope and inspiration for all who feel overwhelmed or cynical about their ability to improve our world and make a personal impact.

Background:

What is Juliana v. United States? In 2015, 21 youth plaintiffs sued the U.S. federal government for violating their right to a safe climate. Plaintiffs claimed the government’s actions and inactions regarding climate change violated their fundamental constitutional rights to freedom from deprivation of life, liberty, and property.
