Agro-forestry-fishery exports in the first 3 months of 2022 increase

02 April 2022, VN: According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, agro-forestry-fishery exports in March 2022 was estimated at 4.73 billion USD, bringing the total export value in the first 3 months of 2022 to 12.82 billion USD, up 15.3% over the same period in 2021. In which, agricultural exports was estimated at 5.48 billion USD, up 12.8%; livestock exports was estimated at 75.6 million USD, down 22.4%; Seafood exports was estimated at 2.41 billion USD, up 38.7%; The export value of forest products was estimated at 4.25 billion USD, up 4.4%; The export value of production inputs was estimated at 603 million USD, up 72.5%; Salt exports was estimated at 1.2 million USD, up 62.9%.

It is estimated that Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports in the first three months of 2022 to Asia increased by 8%, reaching 5.16 billion USD; Americas increased by 13.5%, reaching 3.8 billion USD; Europe increased by 39.1%, reaching 1.67 billion USD; Oceania increased by 25.3%, reaching 218 million USD. In contrast, in the first 3 months of 2022, agro-forestry-fishery exports to the African market was estimated to decrease by 5.7%, reaching 63 million USD. The market share of the regions of Asia, America, Europe, Africa and Oceania in Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery exports in the first 3 months of 2022 is 40.3% ; 29.5%; 13.1%; 1.3% and 1.7%, respectively.

In the first three months of 2022, the United States, China and Japan are the three largest importers for Vietnam’s agro-forestry-fishery products. Export value to the US market accounted for 27.1%, up 12.7% over the same period in 2021; China accounted for 16.6% (-6.1%) and Japan accounted for 6.8% (+10.1%).
