Agro-forestry and fishery exports in the first nine months increased

10 October 2022, VN: According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), the export turnover of agro, forestry and fishery products in September 2022 was estimated at 4.23 billion USD, bringing the total export value of the first 9 months of 2022 to 40.79 billion USD, up 15.2% over the same period in 2021.

In which, the export value of agricultural products was estimated at 16.83 billion USD, up 7.5%; The export value of livestock products was estimated at 265.5 million USD, down 18.4%; Seafood export value was estimated at 8.53 billion USD, up 38%; The export value of forest products was estimated at 13.26 billion USD, up 10.8%; Export value of production inputs was estimated at 1.89 billion USD, up 49.6%; The export value of salt was estimated at 3.9 million USD, up 84.3%.

 It was estimated that the total export value of Vietnam’s agro, forestry and fishery products in the first nine months of 2022 to markets in Asia increased by 17.9%, reaching 17.82 billion USD; Americas increased by 8.8%, reaching 11.54 billion USD; Europe increased by 17.7%, reaching 4.75 billion USD; Oceania increased by 29.3%, reaching 700 million USD; Africa increased by 3.6%, reaching 683 million USD. The market share of Asia, America, Europe, Oceania and Africa in the total export value of Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the first 9 months of 2022 was 43.7%,: 28.3%; 11.6%; 1.7% and 1.7%, respectively.

The United States, China and Japan are the three largest export markets for Vietnam’s agricultural, forestry and fishery products. Export value to the US market accounted for 25.8%, up 6.7% over the same period in 2021; China accounted for 18.2% (+8.9%) and Japan accounted for 7.6% (+29.4%).

The total import turnover of agro, forestry and fishery products in September 2022 was estimated at 4 billion USD, bringing the total import value in the first 9 months of 2022 to nearly 34 billion USD, up 5.7% over the same period in 2021. In which, the import value of agricultural products was estimated at 20.9 billion USD, up 3.2%; Import value of livestock products 2.46 billion USD, down 6.8%; Import value of aquatic products 2.1 billion USD, up 40.2%; Import value of forest products 2.45 billion USD, up 4.6%; Import value of production inputs 6.04 billion USD, up 12%; Import value of salt 25.7 million USD, up 77.5%.
