Protect Soybean Crops from Tobacco Caterpillar: Use These Insecticides

04 October 2024, New Delhi: Tobacco caterpillars can cause severe damage to soybean crops. To control this pest, agricultural experts recommend using one of the following insecticides:

  • Emamectin Benzoate 04.90%: 425 mL per hectare
  • Broflanilide 300 GL SC: 42-62 grams per hectare
  • Acetamiprid 25% + Bifenthrin 25% WG: 250 grams per hectare
  • Flubendiamide 20% WG: 250-300 grams per hectare
  • Novaluron + Indoxacarb: 825-875 mL per hectare

Farmers are advised to apply these insecticides at the first sign of caterpillar infestation to minimize crop damage. Regular monitoring of the crop for pests is also essential to ensure timely intervention.
