How to Control Termites in Wheat Crop: Expert Tips for Farmers

25 February 2025, New Delhi: Termites can cause significant damage to wheat crops, leading to reduced yields. Farmers should be vigilant for signs of termite infestation, such as wilting or stunted growth in wheat plants. If these symptoms appear, it’s important to apply a mixture of 20 kg sand with 2 liters of Chlorpyriphos 20 EC per acre. This should be done during the evening hours to avoid excessive evaporation and to maximize the pesticide’s effectiveness.

Chlorpyriphos is a potent insecticide that will help eliminate termites and prevent further damage. It’s crucial to follow expert recommendations, as early intervention will help safeguard your crop’s health and productivity.
