Malathion: An Organophosphate for Pest Control

20 January 2025, New Delhi: Malathion is an organophosphate insecticide effective against a variety of pests, including mosquitoes, flies, and lice. It works by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase activity in insects’ nervous systems.

This pesticide is commonly used in both agricultural and household pest control.
