Clethodim: A Selective Herbicide for Grass Weed Control

20 January 2025, New Delhi: Clethodim is a selective herbicide used for controlling grassy weeds in crops like soybeans, corn, and cotton. It works by inhibiting the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase, which is essential for fatty acid synthesis in plants.

It is effective against a range of grasses, including ryegrass, crabgrass, and foxtail.
