Biostadt Targets Paddy Belt of North India with Pyankor Launch in Lucknow

23 May 2025, LucknowAfter a successful launch in Raipur, Biostadt India Limited introduced its new-generation herbicide ‘Pyankor’ to the northern region with an impactful launch event in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The gathering brought together Biostadt’s senior leadership, representatives from LG Chem Life Sciences, South Korea, and channel partners, reinforcing the company’s commitment to delivering innovative crop protection solutions to farmers.

Pyankor, containing Pyribenzoxim 5% EC, is a post-emergent herbicide specially designed for paddy cultivation. It effectively controls a wide range of weeds including grasses, sedges, and broad-leaf weeds. The product is absorbed within 30 minutes of application, halts weed growth within 24 hours, causes yellowing in 3 to 5 days, and provides complete control within 7 to 14 days. Its rainfast formulation, made possible by a high-quality adjuvant, ensures consistent performance even during unpredictable weather. The recommended dose is 240 ml per acre, offering both efficacy and affordability for farmers.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Huzefa Khorakiwala, CEO & Director of Biostadt India Ltd, highlighted the company’s dedication to providing world-class agri-technologies that align with the evolving needs of Indian agriculture. He emphasized the importance of Pyankor as a reflection of Biostadt’s innovation and its global collaboration with LG Chem Life Sciences.

The event was attended by key leadership from Biostadt, including Mr. Gokul Dafale (Executive Vice President), Mr. Santosh Rane (General Manager – Pesticides), Mr. Nilesh Narbekar (General Manager – Marketing, Biologicals), Mr. Vijay Bhaskar (General Manager – Strategy), and Mr. Surjeet Singh (Deputy General Manager – North-1). The product team was represented by Mr. Chetan (Senior Product Manager – Herbicide) and Mr. Ashish Singh (Product Manager – Biogreen).

From LG Chem Life Sciences, Mr. Samjae Chun joined the proceedings, further strengthening the Indo-Korean partnership in agri-innovation. Also present were Regional Heads Anuj and Devendra, members of the Development Team – Sanjeev and Sanjdeep, and the North Field Marketing Team – Ms. Puja Mehra, Ms. Aarti Mahala, and Mr. Manish Jha.
