29 December 2022, Italy: At a technical event, BASF introduced its new fungicide, Revysion® (mefentrifluconazole), providing the most pertinent findings from a €250 million research project that began 11 years ago.

Although Revysion® is a member of the ancient triazole family, it differs significantly from other types of fungicides. The active ingredient, Revysol®, a trade name for the novel chemical mefentrifluconazole, serves as the foundation of the new product.

Revysol® is a much more flexible molecule, characterized by good adaptation to the site of action of the fungal enzyme. But above all, it has a favorable regulatory profile, high efficacy and broad spectrum of action.

The management of powdery mildew and black rot on grapes, scab, oidium, and alternaria on apple trees, brown spot on pears, and powdery mildew and monilia on stone fruit can all be accomplished with the use of Revysol®.
