590 Generic Formulated Product Registrations Were Approved from 2021 to 2023 in Brazil

Registration of generic formulated products, also known as “me too”, is the key for Brazilian pesticide market access. Those who get registration approval in advance can start sales and gain market share. More than a hundred players, including manufacturers, traders, distributors are running for registration at first, and then sales.
From 2021 to 2023, 590 generic formulated product registrations were approved. This represents 33.35% of all approvals in the period. Only six companies have approved 245 registrations (41.5%): AllierBrasil 67 (11.4%), Rainbow 48 (8.1%), Nortox (6.8%), UPL 32 (5.4%), Tecnomyl 29 (4.9%) and Cropchem 29 (4.9%).
AllierBrasil is a Brazilian consulting firm with a large portfolio of clients. Rainbow, Nortox, UPL, Tecnomyl and Cropchem are distributors, that have, respectively, 131, 128, 193, 45 and 73 formulated product registrations in their portfolios.
