14 October 2022, AU: Born in Bingara NSW, Bec’s family then moved to Coonamble where her parents ran a sheep and cropping enterprise and her childhood was spent outdoors helping out on the farm. Bec then ended up in Cootamundra where she is today.
Straight out of school Bec had the opportunity to do an admin traineeship which kicked off her career in the agriculture sector.
She is now the National Manager – Sales and Customer Service for Independents at Nutrien Ag Solutions.
“I have been working with Nutrien and its associated businesses for the past 28 years. That’s a long time! I’m often asked what’s the secret to such a long partnership and for me it’s about having a purpose, making a positive impact and really belonging to the industry and community you represent or are part of,” says Bec.
“In my role at Nutrien, I have the privilege of supporting our network of Independent stores across the country and assisting them to provide the right products and services to their growers. The diversity within our business is enormous, which means there are always new ideas, meaningful data and science, innovative solutions and different perspectives we can draw on when providing direction.”
“I’m really passionate about helping people. It’s not just the right thing to do, but also the most enjoyable part of my day.”

Married with three children and a Labrador called Benny, Bec says she loves her busy lifestyle.
“Living in a rural community I have the best of both worlds. I love the close proximity to family which has given me enormous support and flexibility to take on new opportunities in my career. I also have a strong sense of belonging and care within our community. We cheer each other on during the successful and exciting times, and we are quick to come together and provide support when times are tough.
“Being regionally based in a national role often means additional travel time, but that’s part of the lifestyle you sign up for when you live outside the city. That being said, I can leave my front gate and be in any major city by lunch time.
Ahead of International Day of Rural Women, we asked to share some words of wisdom, Bec says “you have to make the most of everyday and always drive the change you want to see.”
