Syngenta Biologicals Enhances Its Portfolio With the Already Established Bioactivator MEGAFOL
10 December 2024, São Paulo: A survey recently released by CropLife Brasil shows that the bioinput market grew 15% in the 2023/2024 crop, compared to the previous one. The study also shows that, in the last three years, the segment has evolved at an average annual rate of 21%, a percentage four times above the global average. This reinforces that the organic market in Brazil is in a moment of accelerated expansion, reflecting the openness of the Brazilian farmer to the combined use of chemical and biological technologies, aiming at productivity and sustainability.
This growing interest in the use of biological products reinforces the assertiveness of the creation of Syngenta Biologicals, which, in April this year, was announced with the purpose of promoting an increasingly profitable, sustainable and effective agriculture.
Attentive to farmers’ demands for biological inputs capable of performing beneficial and necessary activities for plant development, Syngenta invests in solutions such as MEGAFOL – a bioactivator based on plant extracts and algae that stands out for its triple action: mitigation of abiotic stresses, acceleration of plant recovery and activation of metabolism for better vegetative development. The solution is especially effective in adverse periods, in which crops face situations such as water deficit, flooding, thermal oscillations, cloudiness, salinity and chemical stress (phytotoxicity).
MEGAFOL® enhances plant metabolism, enabling consistent results and improving productivity in large crops such as soybeans, corn, cotton, coffee and others. Its composition derived from 100% natural sources, which favors absorption and activity in plants, offers a sustainable approach to face the increasingly frequent climate challenges in agriculture.
“The climate challenges faced by producers of soybeans and other crops not only reduce productivity, but can also significantly impact the country’s economy. MEGAFOL® emerges as a crucial tool in this scenario. By mitigating the damage caused by abiotic stresses, accelerating the recovery of plants and activating their metabolism, the bioactivator not only protects the productive potential of crops, but also promotes a more efficient use of natural resources. It is a solution that combines productivity and sustainability, essential for Brazilian sustainable agriculture,” highlights Dáfila Fagotti, Manager of Biological Products at Syngenta.
