Agriculture is critical for India. Although it contributes to 15-16 percent of GDP, it provides livelihood to more than half the country’s workforce. If agriculture grows, India grows. Indian agriculture faces several risks including monsoon dependence, pest and disease attacks, yield uncertainties and worse highly volatile prices. Farmers face production risk, quality risk, market risk and price risk and many others during the season. Inadequate agri-infrastructure and weak market structure compound the challenges.

The Webinar will cater to Startups, FPOs, agribusinesses, financial institutions, policymakers, development agencies, commodity derivative exchanges, NGOs, farm machinery companies, insurance banks/companies, input companies, NBFCs and so on. The webinar will explore the latest risk management strategies in the agri industry as well as touch upon the upcoming trends.
