IIL Foundation organizes Covid vaccination camp

12 August 2021, New Delhi: In a move that will increase access to life-saving vaccines in the remote areas, IIL Foundation, the CSR arm of leading agrochemical company Insecticides (India) Ltd. organised an inoculation camp in Chopanki for the residents of Chopanki & Jodia Mev in Alwar district, and vaccinated over 500 adults against the COVID-19 virus.

The camp, held from 30 July (Friday) to 1 August (Sunday), was organised in association with City Nursing Home, Bhiwadi who had deployed a team of 4 doctors and nurses for vaccine administration and post-vaccination observation. All adults attending the camp were administered Covishield vaccine. About 70% percent people who were vaccinated were the age group of 35-50 years.

The pandemic has made all of us realise the importance of being with the people – it is true that no one is safe till all are safe. This vaccination camp is our sincere attempt to bring the safety against COVID-19 virus provided by the vaccines to the maximum number of people. This is our first such camp but if needed, we will hold such camps in future – we are and will remain committed to the safety and wellbeing of our people. We thank the City Nursing Home for joining hands for this noble cause, and supporting us in this noble cause.” says Mr. Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Insecticides (India) Ltd.

“It gives us sense of belongingness and satisfaction, when we do something for the people in the close vicinity of our plant at Chopanki as we are here for more than 20 years now. We have been also working together with school in Jodiamev and providing them with the support staff for the better education for the children along with other activities for the society.” Says Dr. Mukesh Kumar, General Manager at Chopanki Plant, Insecticides (India) Limited.
