08 November 2021, Patna: Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary (DARE) & Director General (ICAR) visited the ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna, Bihar today.
The Director General was accompanied by Dr. Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Deputy Director General (Natural Resource Management), ICAR.
Administering the research works carried out by the different scientists in the field, Dr. Mohapatra emphasized on making the economic impact analysis of the technologies developed by the Institute clearly visible in the different spectrums of agricultural sciences. He urged the Scientists to develop the technology with proof and correct validation.
The Director General also stressed that the research output should have sufficient validity to be implemented under the field conditions and reach a large number of farmers. Dr. Mohapatra emphasized on taking-up the different research activities in other Eastern States after assessing the need of the respective states through interactive meetings with the State Government Officials and State Agricultural Universities.
In his address, Dr. Chaudhari urged the scientists to take-up the Niche areas of research under the Natural Resource Management.
Dr. Rameswar Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Bihar Animal Science University, Patna, Bihar underlined the University’s activities.
Earlier, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar, Director, Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna apprised the dignitaries about the Institute’s activities and future programmes.
