Crystal Crop Protection launches AMORA broad spectrum herbicide for Soybean

21 May 2021, New Delhi, IN: Crystal Crop Protection Ltd., leading agrochemical company, known for its innovative range of insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, plant growth regulators, has recently launched a novel herbicide AMORA for soybean farmers.

AMORA (Technical name: Fomesafen 12% + Quizalofop ethyl 3% SC) is selective broad-spectrum herbicide with systemic action, it offers an excellent control on narrow and broad leaves weeds in soybean crop. Its has relatively fast action and has absolutely no adverse effect to the crop, which helps in better yield to the farmers.

Soybean is largely grown in Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Karnataka and Uttar Pradesh. Losses due to weeds have been one of the major limiting factors in soybean production. Weeds compete with crop for light, moisture, and nutrients, in early stages of crop its critical to manage weeds or yield will get impacted. The yield reduction due to the weed infestation in soybean may be up to 31- 84 percent (Kachroo et al. 2003).
