CCFI distributes free PPE safety kits to farmers at FarmTech Asia Indore

08 April 2022, Indore: Crop Care Federation of India (CCFI) today organised a free PPE (personal protective equipment) safety kit distribution drive for the farmers participating in FarmTech Asia at Indore.

The industry body aims to educate the farming community in terms of safe use of agro chemicals which are being used on crops of economic importance like Cotton, Soyabean, Wheat, Sugarcane in Madhya Pradesh.

Crop Care Federation of India (CCFI) is an apex organisation of over 50 Indian companies involved in manufacturing of agro chemicals which is a major input for reducing crop losses in agriculture.

Ms. Nirmala Pathrawal, Executive Director, CCFI said, “We have trained over one lakh farmers across India on safe use of pesticides so far. The industry body has been distributing safety PPE kits comprising of head gear cap, goggles, face mask, hand gloves, full apron and gum boots to the farming community. This effort from CCFI has been highly appreciated by state governments, ministries and farming community.”

CCFI is the only Indian federation which has been training farmers and distributing safety kits over the years even before the pandemic so that our agricultural production can increase safely.

“Member organisations of CCFI are key exporters of agrochemicals from India and contribute about 90% to the total exports. India is now second in the world in agricultural production with our effort to double farmers income. India has the capacity and capability to make quality products at much lower cost than those importing ready made formulations. CCFI is committed towards Atmanirbhar Bharat through Make in India”, mentioned Harish Mehta, Senior Advisor, CCFI.
