ASPEE Farmer of the Year Awards 2025 Honour India’s Agricultural Champions

20 April 2025, Mumbai: The ASPEE Farmer of the Year Awards 2025 were held in Mumbai, celebrating outstanding achievements and innovation in Indian agriculture. Organized by the ASPEE Foundation, the awards were presented after a rigorous evaluation process designed to identify and honour farmers who have demonstrated excellence, sustainability, and impact in their agricultural practices.

The ceremony was graced by Shashank Mani Tripathi, Member of Parliament from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he commended the awardees for their unwavering dedication to farming and their role in building a resilient agricultural ecosystem in the country.

In the Horticulture Category, Chidanand Parasappa Pawar from Rajapur, Belagavi District, Karnataka, was honoured for his remarkable work in papaya cultivation. His use of innovative techniques and scientific methods has resulted in consistently high yields and has set an example for farmers in the region.

In the Winter Farming Category, Ghemarbhai Kesharbhai Patel from Dhota, Banaskantha District, Gujarat, was recognized for his exceptional success in castor crop cultivation. His focus on efficient resource management and sustainable farming practices earned him the prestigious award.

The Woman Farmer Category, aimed at recognizing women farmers from the North East region engaged in vegetable cultivation, was jointly awarded to Smt Lalrinpuii from Saikhamakawn, Aizawl District, Mizoram, and Kumari Nabanita Das from Potiagaon, Jorhat District, Assam. Both women have shown extraordinary commitment to agriculture, empowering their communities while promoting best practices in farming.

The event was also marked by the presence of the company’s senior leadership. Kiran Patel, Managing Director; Rajeev Patel, Director; and Jatin Patel, Technical Director, were present to personally felicitate the winners. They reaffirmed ASPEE’s long-standing commitment to farmer welfare and technological advancement in agriculture.
