15th International Crop Science Conference & Exhibition (ICSCE) an exclusive Agri Inputs event organised by PMFAI made an auspicious beginning today

28 January 2021, New Delhi: The 15th edition of International Crop Science Conference & Exhibition (ICSCE) organised by Pesticides Manufacturers & Formulators Association of India (PMFAI), which normally organised as 2-days duration international physical event, this time organised as virtual event on 3D platform on 28th & 29th January 2021 with extended exhibition of 4 days due to Covid-19 pandemic situation.

The 15th ICSCE made an auspicious beginning on Thursday, 28th January 2021 with the welcome and opening address by PMFAI President Mr. Pradip Dave.   The inaugural session of the event followed with presentations by four international speakers in which over 400 national and international delegates participated in the first day.

ICSCE is an international event for Agrochemicals / Pesticide companies to develop strategic and sourcing relationships with international pesticide companies and get updated on current trends in Agrochemical market. The event organized by PMFAI to improve the health of Generic Pesticide Industry and to bring the researchers in the field of agriculture, pesticide manufacturers, agrochemical traders and allied industry together under one platform. ICSCE provides opportunity for business expansion by way of joint ventures, bilateral trade, sub-contracting / contract manufacturing and distribution and networking opportunities for buyers and sellers to benefit mutually.

The speakers in the first session of the conference included –

Dr. Bob Fairclough, Consultant, Ag Market Insights®, Kynetec Germany made presentation and spoke on Global Crop Protection Market and the key role that India will play in future development. Dr. Bob Fairclough talked about the performance of pesticide industry over recent times. The domestic Indian agrochemical market consistently performed better than global markets and is much stronger than global crop protection market. India though 9th in terms of growth of global market, can still be considered as one of the fastest growing markets of commercial significance among top countries in terms of crop protection market growth between 2009-2019

Ms. Inna Volnianskia, CEO Agrochemical Business Solutions Ltd. Made presentation and spoke on Hard Russia Market in simple words.  In her speech, Ms. Inna Volnianskia given facts behind increase in crop protection production market and entering into Russian market strategies including the ambitions of export target of $ 45 billion by 2024.  She also highlighted registration process and business strategies of Russia.

Dr. Antoine Vielliard, Global Marketing Director for the Agricultural Sepcialties business of Solvay, made presentation and spoke on Novel and sustainable adjuvants for efficacy enhancements, which was very informative.  Adjuvants are important in the light of problem of resistance.  Adjuvants play important role to enhance efficacy, help reduce imports and developing combination pesticides.

Dr. Mark Trimmer, Managing Partner of Dunham Trimmer LLC, Editor of 2BMonthly the Global Biocontrol & Biostimulant E-newsletter and board member of Biological Products Industry Alliance (BPIA) made presentation on “Biopesticides Market 2020-2025”.  Dr. Trimmer presented the statistics on growing biopesticides market worldwide and stressed upon the importance of biopesticides due to worldwide focus on bio-products and increasing of production of organic food.  Dr. Trimmer’s presentation provided new insights into biological agents as a fast growing market worldwide.
