Three new organic technical guides for Moldova

02 November 2022, Europe: FiBL and the Moldavian Association Education for Development (AED) announce the publication of three additional new technical guides for trainers, farmers and other interested parties with quality information on organic farming.

The guides are part of a larger series of publications to broaden the organic knowledge base within Moldova, being supported by the Liechtenstein Development Service (LED).

The already published technical guides relate to: principles and practices of organic farming, organic beekeeping, organic high-stem fruit cultivation, thistle control, plant protection in organic stone fruits, the promotion of earthworms, the protection of outdoor vegetables, and organic free-range management of laying hens, and a dossier on the sustainability and quality of organic food. All publications are available in Romanian and Russian language and accessible online.

Good quality information is an important prerequisite for sound education and training of agricultural professionals. The publications developed by FiBL and reviewed by AED and experts in Moldova make an important contribution to the development of the organic sector in Moldova. All publications rely on many years of research and advisory experience by FiBL experts, and are presented in a condensed appealing educational A4 format.
