CIMMYT Academy invites applications for Adjunct Scientist Program: Dryland Crops Improvement
CIMMYT Academy invites early- and mid-career NARS scientists to contribute to CIMMYT’s research portfolio in dryland crop breeding, seed systems, and genetic improvement.
15 May 2024, Africa: The Adjunct Scientist Program is a competitive program that aims to increase the critical mass of regional research teams through early- and mid-career NARS scientists, strengthen NARS-CIMMYT partnerships, and empower the emerging generation of scientists through world-class networking and research opportunities contributing to a regional vision of crop improvement.
Adjunct Scientists focus on crop breeding, seed systems, socioeconomics, genetic improvement, and data management through proposal writing, strategic meetings, and travel to research fields or conferences.

Candidates must be active employees of a National Agricultural Research Institution in an AVISA-Transition project target country with a Ph.D. in an appropriate field, awarded not more than 10 years before applying, or an MSc with a proven record of leading breeding programs for 5-10 years. The deadline for applications is June 22, 2024.
